How does the Lake Superior CSA work?
The mission of the Bayfield Regional Food Producers Cooperative (BRFPC) is to provide you with the best possible local foods we can….in a way that is
convenient for you. Thus, the Lake
Superior CSA is a little different than most.
We offer a wide selection of traditional CSA vegetable, meat, and fruit
shares, but we know that CSA shares aren’t for everyone so we also offer many
of our products available by the case the first week of each month. So, spend some time with the website learning
about our great products and figure out what works best for you. If you need help or have any questions please

We've got fresh, delicious cheese from Wisconsin's northernmost cheese-makers! You can choose between cow's milk cheddar from Happy Hollow Creamery, goat's milk feta and chevre from Sassy Nanny Farmstead Cheese, or a combination of both.

What is Community Supported Agriculture?Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) is a unique food distribution system that weaves the farmer and community of eaters together in an intricate seasonal food web. Basically, you, the eater, buy an annual share in the farm and, in return, receive a selection of seasonal products from from us, your family farmer. All of our winter plans, spring labors and summer and autumn harvests are based on providing you and your family the healthiest, most diverse, and abundant eating experience possible. And we believe it tastes better too!
Joining a CSA is a bit of a leap in faith, and is definitely a seasonal cooking and eating adventure. With the Lake Superior CSA, you'll find an amazing selection of vegetables, Bayfield strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, apples, free-range eggs, honey, and a full offering of beef, pork, poultry, lamb, and fish. The CSA concept is a unique relationship between you and your family farmer(s). When you become a CSA member, you are making a commitment to feeding yourself and your family better; you are making a commitment to pay a fair price for the labor and knowledge of the farmers who feed you; you are choosing cleaner water, healthier soils, cleaner air, and fewer toxins in the environment for those that grow your food and for everyone living downstream. The Lake Superior CSA is unique because when you purchase a share you are forming a relationship with not just one farmer, but all the producers of the Bayfield Regional Food Producers Cooperative.
